      • Classically-informed contemporary indie-folk duo with snug harmonies & cozy vibes.

      • Memorable melodies and moving lyrics that reward listeners with timeless stories.

Imaginary Expedition is a cross-border collaboration between Boston's Glyph Greenleaf and Toronto's Victoria Dobbs. The duo met—guitar in hand—shortly after Glyph completed his Bachelor of Music at New England Conservatory in Boston, MA.

When they began writing together, they naturally settled into a sound that takes the intricate melodies and structures of classical music, and combines them with familiar folk harmonies. The result is a classically-informed contemporary indie-folk vocal duo with irresitible cozy vibes, snug harmonies, and enchanting counterpoint—it's both musically interesting and easy to listen to.

So, take off your shoes, and let the music lead you on an Imaginary Expedition.

      • "The duo’s sound combines counterpoint vocals with intricate instrumental work. Glyph’s classical influences shine through his guitar playing, while Victoria’s melodies bring a contemporary edge. Glyph’s use of the recorder adds a distinctive texture, elevating their arrangements beyond traditional folk conventions."

        - Kurt Hauswirth, NPR Upper Great Lakes News, Music, and Arts & Culture, November 2024

"The message is so pure and sweet ... the melodies have a slightly madrigal flavor ... gorgeous!"

        - SongDoor, November 2024

"Impressively distinguished by the warmly engaging music and melodies, in conjunction with sweetly original concepts...impressive talents!"

-GASC & Songwriters Resource Network, March 2025
