About - Imaginary Expedition

Meet Stuart and Victoria, two storytellers who have chosen ‘acoustic indie folk duo’ as their narrative medium.
They met—guitar in hand—shortly after Stuart completed his Bachelor of Music at New England Conservatory in Boston, MA. Together they began fusing the flavours of Canadian folk revival with classically-influenced compositions.

Stuart and Victoria debuted as Imaginary Expedition in Toronto, ON in August 2024. Today they are songwriters and sweethearts who live and sing at eachother’s sides, telling tales in inseparable harmony.

With their first recording underway, the only place to hear them is live—in the right here, right now. So take off your shoes, close your eyes, and let your ears lead you on an Imaginary Expedition.

Here's what to expect when you see Imaginary Expedition perform
Guitar and Voice
Stuart plays classical guitar in a lap playing position, while he and Victoria take turns alternating lead vocals, harmonies, and counterpoint.
Recorder and Ukulele
Victoria grooves on tenor ukulele while Stuart plays tunes and improvisations on a modern, three-octave recorder.
Juggling
Stuart is a world-class juggler, and is known to keep changeovers exciting by tossing around a few clubs, balls, or even instruments.
